This weekend intensive is part of a monthly series of yoga therapy immersions offered by the Niroga Institute for students and teachers as well as health care practitioners, who have a serious interest in learning the principles of yoga therapy. It will be led by master yoga therapists Saraswathi Devi and Vlad Moskovski. Through a balance of theory and practice, participants will learn how to offer the experience of yoga practice to people living with many kinds of disabilities. We will take yoga to places it ordinarily does not go, but certainly can! This will be both an information filled and hands-on experience.

The training will be an introduction to assisting students with neurological, orthopedic, biochemical, cognitive and behavioral challenges - from mild to severe. We will cover approaches to adaptive yoga for students in every kind of circumstance and setting - from experiencing the practice while hospitalized, to working alone at home or with a helper, to practicing one-on-one with a yoga therapist, to working in the classroom with multiple helpers.
